COVID-19 Update:
Our Clinic will remain open, our lobby is closed!
Here at Wasatch Foot and Ankle Center, Dr. Harper is committed to providing a safe environment for you to receive the treatment you need while making sure you feel comfortable and secure. Our community, and our patients are what’s most important to us, your well-being remains our number one priority as we deal with the risks around COVID-19, we will continue to evaluate the current situation everyday to decide what’s best for our patients. To help maintain “social distancing” we will continue to provide our services, but we will be closing our lobby for the safety of our patients. We will do everything we can to meet your needs pertaining to any service you need, and we have put the following in place for you:
- Our facility is thoroughly sterilized daily, as well as the exam rooms in between each and every patient.
- While the lobby is closed. Please call 801-274-9062 and 435-657-0329 when you arrive at the clinic for your appointment and we will notify you by giving you a call back when an exam room is available.
- We understand that some patients still have concerns about coming in for their appointments so during these times, we are offering Telehealth Appointments to those whose medical needs can be taken care of by a face to face or audio call. Some restrictions do apply and we will be taking the requests on a case by case basis, some services we will not be able to offer over the phone since podiatry is a fairly hands-on specialty. Medicare will cover these telehealth appointments, some commercial insurances may not cover the charges, if they do not a $75.00 charge will be applied.
Examples of Telehealth appointments we may be able to offer: Ingrown Post-Op, Fungus follow ups, plantar fasciitis follow ups, medication adjustments or refills, minor injury evaluations.
Appointments we likely can’t offer through Telehealth, because they require direct inspection or hands-on treatment: Cuts or lacerations, wound care, injections, Post-op (depending), Routine and Diabetic Foot care, Ingrown Toenail removals, etc.
Please call in and ask if the services you are inquiring about could be done in a Telehealth appointment.
We are dedicated to providing you the very best care and we will continue to fulfill that promise to you regardless of external events. While we cannot be certain of how long this virus will cause disruption, we are certain that we will get through this together as a community.
Thank you for your patience, support and understanding during these times,
Dr. Spence D. Harper and Staff of Wasatch Foot and Ankle Center
